Lebanese Food and Drink
Lebanese Food and Drinks Eating in Lebanon is an exciting and rich experience. Food in Lebanon has many different styles with thousands of great restaurants in all the major cities and towns of Lebanon. All of them seem to boast about one chef or another, which is good, but for most of us we want to get down to eating.

In addition, food in Beirut and other Lebanese tourist resorts is not restricted to traditional Lebanese delights. Cuisine from all over the world can be found in Lebanon, including Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, and other international tastes. Fast food chains are rising in popularity due to convenience and their family oriented style.
 Lebanese Food
Fatoush: Traditional Lebanese salad consisting of a delicious blend of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and crunchy bits of baked pitta, doused in a tasty dressing.

Tabbuouleh: Popular dish, a salad made of minced bits of tomato, cucumber, parsley, and onions with spices and lemon juice.

Seafood: Speciality in coastal cities of Lebanon. Fresh fish, shrimp and calamari are served be grilled or fried and doused with lemon juice.

Meats Dishes are also readily available, and lamb, as in most Mediterranean countries, is very popular.

 Lebanese Food
Mezze Typical Lebanese meal will involve a variety of mezza - small dishes of sauces and salads, eaten with pitta bread, which is usually served warm. Some of the most common mezza include hummus, tahina and baba ghanough - creamy pastes made from chickpeas, sesame, and eggplant respectively.

Shish tawook: Grilled chicken with delectable spices - is a common and delicious treasure. A quick and mouth-watering way to eat in cities is to visit the hole-in-the-wall shawerma restaurants that are hard to miss. The meat is always roasting on spits outside the entryway, and shawerma or falafel sandwiches can be bought for very little money and eaten standing or sometimes sitting in the tiny rooms.
