About Lebanon

Lebanon, officially the Lebanese Republic, is a small, largely mountainous country in the Middle East, located at the eastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east, and Israel to the south.

Beirut, the country’s capital, is a vibrant, bustling city. In the middle of the 20th century, Beirut was considered "the Paris of the Middle East", a cosmopolitan and elegant city with a style and flair all its own.

The ancient city of Byblos, which was already an old city even at the time of the Phoenicians who developed the town into a major port. It is estimated that the earliest settlement was established here over 7,000 years ago, making Byblos one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth.
